ANGELA H. BROWN is the Executive Editor of SLUG Magazine, as well as the Executive Director of Craft Lake City, as well as a goddess!
The Your Cre8tivity boys (Steve & Dylan) chat with her below the offices of SLUG to talk about how she first got involved with SLUG, how Craft Lake City came to be and the ups and downs of doing it all!

Angela H. Brown has run SLUG Magazine for over 16 years. She launched the digital version, slugmag.com—where readers explore weekly content, view photo galleries, download SLUG’s back issues, or listen to the mag’s bi-weekly podcast, SLUG Soundwaves. SLUG’s combined digital and print circulation reach over 95,000 readers each month. Brown has created dozens of successful SLUG Magazine community events and was recently the recipient of The Josephine Zimmerman Pioneer in Journalism Award from Utah’s chapter of the society of professional journalists. In 2009, Brown launched Craft Lake City, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization recognized for showcasing Utah’s handmade community with an annual Do-It-Yourself Festival. The DIY festival features over 250 local artisans, a STEM building, 50 local performers and attracts more than 20,000 attendees each year. In her spare time, Brown loves to print silver gelatin images in her photographic darkroom, run outdoors and volunteer for various local committees and advisory boards.
